Can the board President collect a salary?
Q. May the President of our condo association collect a salary from homeowner dues for his services as president?
Are individual water shut off valves required by Chicago building codes?
Q. I live in a 71 unit condo building. It is an old warehouse that was converted to condos. We have found that there are no shut off valves for water for our individual units. When there is a leak or someone needs to work on their piping the entire building has to go without water.
How can I address conflict with a neighbor?
Q. I have lived in my condo for over 16 years now and have been harassed by a neighbor who lives in my building for the entire time I have lived here.
